CABI Publishing - Global Health Database

Global Health is a bibliographical abstract and indexing database specialising in public health, human nutrition, parasitic, communicable and tropical diseases and medicinal plants. It provides access to abstracts of the world's research literature from 1973 to present with coverage of English and foreign language journals, books, research reports, patents and standards, dissertations, conference proceedings, annual reports, developing country information and other difficult to obtain literature. The database contains over 2 million records with 160,000 records added annually. Virtually every word is searchable, allowing for easy access to this important collection of references to international human health and diseases literature. In addition to its 2 million abstracts, Global Health also includes more than 28,000 full text articles, 75% of which are unavailable digitally anywhere else.

Cochrane Reviews represent the highest level of evidence on which to base clinical treatment decisions. In addition to Cochrane Reviews, The Cochrane Library provides other sources of reliable information, from other systematic reviews abstracts, technology assessments, economic evaluations and individual clinical trials all the current evidence in one single environment.

Health InterNetwork Access to Research Initiative (HINARI)

HINARI provides free online access to the major journals in biomedical and related social sciences to local and not for profit institutions in developing countries. Over 2900 journal titles are now available.
