| LEQAS is making progress
We are pleased to announce that, through the generous support of CTA, Lesotho Question and Answer Services (LEQAS) has entered Phase III of its activities.
|
| PHASE I 2008-2009
The project was conceived and successfully launched. At this stage, the scheme operated under UOFS and mainly the Programme for Agricultural Information Services (PRAIS). It was given the name LEQAS.
|
| PHASE II 2009-2010
LEQAS started operating on its own. Its main thrust was Radio programmes which began in Radio Lesotho and Catholic Radio, in corporation with AIS. LEQAS focused on, and corperated with farmers through institutions and farmers associations such as LEHOFA, Thulare Farm and LENAFU.
|
| PHASE III 2011
This phase is still emphasizing the promotion of LEQAS through radio programmes, researchers and expert time. It also utilizes the telephone through Toll Free and mobile devices. Above all, it will look at the impact and outcomes through events comprising agricultural shows at district and national levels, and go further to recognize the best users of LEQAS. The Executive Committee has already met to pledge its unwavering support.
