Sally is a qualified archivist and curator of the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) collections at Cambridge University Library. Prior to this, she was a project archivist in the Department of Archives and Modern Manuscripts at the University Library. Her primary research interests are in settler colonialism in southern Africa and the history and development of national archival institutions in former British colonies in Africa.
